7ARMONK, NEW YORK:  Today, IBM announced its intent to acquire Sanovi Technologies, a privately held company that provides hybrid cloud recovery, cloud migration and business continuity software for enterprise datacenters and cloud infrastructure.

Our clients are embracing a digitized world, where applications need to be “always-on.” Additionally, many of our clients are going through digital and hybrid cloud transformation, all while maintaining compliancy with increased regulations. It is paramount for us to bring them solutions, which address the end-to-end resiliency needs of the enterprise as they face natural disasters, increased IT complexity, and unprecedented threats and disruptions.

Once the acquisition closes, the addition of Sanovi’s orchestration technology to IBM’s existing Resiliency portfolio will offer a differentiated solution, which simplifies and automates the disaster recovery process, increases workflow efficiency and reduces risk, recovery time and operating costs.

Our intent to acquire Sanovi is both timely and strategic. Sanovi’s capabilities and expertise along with advanced analytics will augment our Software Defined Resiliency framework to deliver business continuity and disaster recovery services for clients undergoing digital and hybrid cloud transformation.  Our planned combined solution will help clients looking for efficiency and reduced RTO (Recovery Time Objective) and RPO (Recovery Point Objective) through intelligent workflow automation, analytics and orchestration capability in traditional and hybrid environments, for any platform, virtual or physical.

I want to thank the leaders who brought this opportunity forward and the IOT teams who collaborated and participated in the process and integration plans.

Founded in 2003, Sanovi is headquartered in Bangalore, India and operates in the United States, the Middle East and Asia. Once the acquisition closes, Sanovi will become part of GTS’ Resiliency Services.

Moving forward, we also plan to leverage IBM and GTS assets including GBS, Brokerage Services and Watson Analytics to expand Sanovi’s Disaster Recovery Management (DRM) capabilities and enable organizations to move from business continuity planning to more proactive resiliency programs that helps predict potential failures before they happen.

Ensure you take the time to educate yourself and be ready to talk with your clients.

This is #ourIBM – let’s bring our full value proposition to our clients and play to win to close the 4th quarter strong.
