Gatimaan Express is the fastest train of India. It is a semi bullet train train that runs between New Delhi to Agra with the maximum speed of 160 km per hour and maximum average of speed of 120 km per hour.
Gatimaan Express takes 105 minutes to cover 200 KM journey whereas other super-fast and express train takes 150 to 220 minutes to cover 200 KM journey. The fare of this train service is to be 25 per cent more than the fare of Shatabdi Express.
It will have 12 modern coaches and also have eight inch LCD tv fixed behind each seat. They will provide foods or catering facility in Executive Class and Chair Car category classes.
2. New Delhi- Bhopal Shatabdi Express
The Bhopal Shatabdi is the Second fastest and prestigious train in India with the top speed of 145 km/h on New Delhi-Agra stretch. New Delhi- Bhopal Shatabdi Express, the train operates between New Delhi, and Bhopal Junction. It’s runs at a average of speed of 91 km/h and also Habibganj Shatabdi Express connect metro tourist cities like New Delhi,Gwalior and Bhopal.
3. New Delhi – Mumbai Rajdhani Express
The New Delhi- Mumbai Rajdhani Express is the third fastest train in India and it is the super fast express train of Rajdhani class.
This super fast Rajdhani Express introduced in India in 1972. it covers the distance of 1385 kilometers in each direction in about 15 hours and 50 minutes from New Delhi station to Mumbai Terminal station and vice versa with an average speed of 90.46 km/h.
4. Sealdah-New Delhi Duronto
New Delhi Duronto Express is the fourth fastest train in India and the fastest express train among the Duronto Express category trains.
It runs between Sealdah and New Delhi station with non-stop train which connect West Bengal capital to National capital, and not only that there are no technical halts in the train journey. It runs at an average speed of 89.13 km/hr .
5. New Delhi-Kanpur Shatabdi Express
New Delhi – Kanpur Shatabdi Express is the fifth fastest train in India and second fastest train among the Shatabdi Express Train in India. It is also called or named as Kanpur Reverse Shatabdi as it follows the reverse timetable of Lucknow Shatabdi Express.
This train was introduced in 2009, and the main goal of this train is to reduce the excessive passenger load from Kanpur Central to New Delhi. The train covers 441 kms from New Delhi to Kanpur in 4 hours and 44 minutes with an average speed of 89.63 km/hr.
